Social media platform Instagram has launched its latest feature ‘Reels’ in India. This feature will give users the same experience as TickTock. These features will allow the user to create short videos of 15 seconds. Music and effects can be added to the reels just like TickTock. Users will also get a ‘Duet’ feature like Tiktok. This feature can be used from the Stories section at the top of the news feed. Once the video is created, users will be able to share and even save it to Insta Story. The company has partnered with Saregama for a music experience in this feature. So no copyright issues.
Like Tiktok, Instagram sees this feature as an opportunity for creators. Instagram has partnered with creators just before the feature launch. Prior to the launch, the feature has been active on the accounts of creators like Amy Virk and Komal Pandey. According to Vishal Shah, Product Vice President, Instagram, India will get new superstars through reels.
